"Pancakes and Prayers for Peace" is a wonderful way to start your weekend, with a pancake breakfast followed by a program of devotional readings and prayers from the beautiful diversity of faith expressions of the world. Hosted on (usually) the second Sunday of each month by the McManus's, it starts at 10:00 a.m. Please call 541-990-1701 for directions and to RSVP.
Devotional meetings also take place in conjunction with other Baha'i communities. Please check with the Benton County Baha'is.
Classes for children have started in Albany. They are held on Sunday mornings at 10:00, at the Thompson home. Please call them at 981-2391 for more information. Here are some photos from a recent class.
Introductory Meetings
There is no clergy or priesthood in the Baha'i Faith, so every Baha'i is obliged to study and teach the Faith. To introduce others to the Teachings of this spirit-changing, world-embracing Cause, we hold meetings (sometimes called "firesides") in our homes, or in public venues when available.
There is never a cost or obligation for any meeting. Donations will not be accepted.
Randall & Linda Dighton teach about their beloved Baha'i Faith on the third Friday of each month, beginning at 7:00 pm - just call (541) 928-8760 to RSVP and for directions.
Other introductory meetings are available, Please call the Baha'is of Albany at (541) 928-8760, or e-mail us to arrange a get-together at another time. It is our joy and privilege to share the Cause of God with you.
Other meetings are held regularly throughout the Mid-Willamette Valley. You may contact your local Baha'i community for information through our national website, by clicking on the "Where are the Baha'is?" link.
Holy Days and Special Events
Observations of Baha'i Holy Days, and special events such as World Religion Day, Human Rights Day, and Race Unity Day, are held in Albany and other communities throughout the year.
All are welcome at these events. We'd love to see you.
